At the end of May 2026, CLMS-Cities was presented at the EU Cities Mission General Assembly in Torino. Together with ICOS-Cities, the project played a central role in the session ‘From Uncertain Data to Credible Claims: Emissions Monitoring & Carbon Removal in Cities’.

As a reminder, CLMS-Cities is built on two main pillars — the Copernicus Land Monitoring Service (CLMS) and the EU Cities Mission — and the project is now well recognised within the Mission’s ecosystem. CLMS-Cities has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with NetZeroCities, the Mission’s official platform, and has been included in its official network.

Building on this collaboration, the project is planning its first Demonstration Event for late September/early October 2026, leveraging NetZeroCities’ extensive network of city representatives and its formal role within the Mission.
